Welcome in APE !

Within the Parents' Association (APE), we represent the parents of the French Lycée Vincent Van Gogh in The Hague.

In ongoing dialogue with the institution and the parents, we advocate for the common interest of families and children.

We engage our community through our communications and events, in a spirit of friendliness and solidarity.

A school year with our Association APE

Throughout the year, we actively participate in the life of the establishment, within the representative bodies and during preparatory meetings with the management. We also organise activities and events for the children, teachers, and parents.

The school year is divided into five terms separated by school holidays, the dates of which are listed in the school calendar on the Lycée's website..

March-April

In April, APE participates in the Olympics organised by the school for primary students by providing a snack.

APE is organising a mock  interviews for Première students with the help of volunteer parents.

May-June

The third and final school and establishment councils are taking place.

APE organises the Fête de l'Ecole for primary school children at the end of June, with many volunteer parents.

For secondary schools,  APE supports student projects.

Rejoins-nous !

All year long

APE listens to parents on collective issues and acts as their intermediary with the establishment.

Thanks to the Fédération des établissements d’enseignement français à l’étranger (FAPEE), of which  APE is a member, webinars are offered to parents related to the specific questions concerning the different ages of our children.

September-October

It's back to school!

APE organises parent cafés, its General Assembly, and presents a list of parent representatives and substitutes for the elections to the school and establishment councils.

On 5th October,  APE gives a gift to teachers for World Teachers' Day.

November-December

The first school and establishment councils take place, prepared in advance by a meeting with the management.

APE is organising an autumn gathering for families.

In November,  APE organises mock interview sessions for Terminale  students, with the help of volunteer parents.

January-February

In January,  APE organises the Careers Forum for secondary school students or the Lycée organises the Education Forum.

The second school and establishment councils generally take place in February or March.
